Bus Services in York

Roadworks at Walmgate Bar: 4 May to mid-August

During this period, buses from York will call at Walmgate then run via Foss Islands Road, Morrisons and James Street to Lawrence Street. There will be a temporary bus stop on James Street to replace the one at Rose & Crown.

Buses towards York will follow their normal route. Please allow additional time for your journey, as traffic may be more congested than usual.

There are several Park & Ride sites around the York by-pass and ring road

Grimston Bar Park & Ride is on A1079 Hull Road, near the junction with A64 By-pass and A166 from Bridlington, to the east of York. Car parking is free, and there is a frequent bus service to the centre of York. Buses run at least every 10 minutes during the day, with buses running more frequently at busy times
