Queen Street closure: April 2024

From 8pm on Friday 19th to 6am on Monday 22nd April, and from 8pm on Friday 26th to 6am on Monday 29th April, Queen Street (between the railway station and Blossom Street) will be closed to all traffic.

This is likely to cause delays affecting ALL bus routes in York city centre.

There will be a shuttle service run by York Pullman, connecting the Railway Station, Rougier Street, Clifford Street and Blossom Street. If you are catching an onward bus or train, please allow plenty of time (or walk across town!)
Shuttle buses will run every 15 minutes and are free to use.
The first departures will be from Blossom Street at 0615 and from York Station at 0630
The last departures will be from Blossom Street at 2315 and from York Station at 2330.

Pedestrian access to the station for people coming from the west will be available from the Lowther Terrace entrance off Holgate Road. Other pedestrian routes from Blossom Street are via Micklegate/Toft Green.
