Events and Competitions: 2018/19
Competitions are generally free to enter, and are open to all members. Non-members may play with the permission of the chairman, but will not normally be eligible to win any prizes.
Past competitions are shown in the results archive.
We hold up to three teams events during the course of the year. We don't plan these in advance, because we do need to have the right number of complete tables to make them work; they can happen on any non-competition night. There will be prizes for all these events. We'll try to play one in the summer (April to July), one in the autumn (August to November) and one in the spring (January to March).
We will hold the Fruit Bowl, an individual competition, on an evening in June or July when we have a suitable number of players.
The Summer Pairs competition will be held on 10 evenings between May and September, when we have at least 8 pairs – your best 5 sessions will count.
The Handicap Winter Pairs competition will be held on 10 sessions between October and February, when we have at least 8 pairs – your best 5 sessions will count.
