Bidding Cards

When you make a bid - including Pass, X (double) and XX (redouble) - this should be laid on the table in front of you so that it and all previous bids are visible. Leave it there until the first card has been led.

Once the first card has been led, while Dummy is laying his hand on the table, put your bidding cards back in the box.

If you are Dummy, lay your hand down before putting your bidding cards away. This gives your partner more time to look at the hand and think how he will play it.

You do not need to leave Alert or Stop cards on the table - once you have played these, put them back in the box.
