Tour de France: 5–6 July 2014

There will be significant disruption to buses across the region over the weekend of 5–6 July 2014 as many roads will be closed for extended periods for the Tour de France.

The list below shows details of buses running in York and North Yorkshire only. Even where services are shown as running, please be aware that there is likely to be heavy traffic and delays on many services

In York on Sunday, there will be three main 'bus hubs', at Station, Fishergate (Fawcett Street) and Hungate (Stonebow), with extra staff on hand to help visitors. Buses running to Hungate from the north will run via Lord Mayor's Walk.

You can see the route that the ride will be taking on Saturday and Sunday. Where roads are used by the event, they will be closed completely and there will be no access at all across or along them for the duration of the closure. I have asked all operators whose routes might be affected what is going on ... some have replied, and some haven't.
