Olympic Torch route

With the Olympic Torch travelling round the region in the next couple of weeks, there are likely to be some delays and disruption to buses. In most cases, this will involve roads being closed for just a short while as the torch passes through, but in a few cases there will be longer closures. All bus companies will be doing their best to run a normal service as far as possible, but as well as delays there may be some last minute diversions or cancellations. If you are in doubt, please telephone the relevant operator to check on the status of your service.

Please do not email me with questions about disruption, as I will not be able to answer.

Below is a plan of when the torch is supposed to start its journey through each town and village. Roads are likely to be closed a little while before this and may remain closed for some time afterwards. (This is not a full itinerary, it only mentions places served by bus services included in the timetables on this website)
