Bus Services in York

Roadworks in Wombleton: starts 16 August 2010

The road through Wombleton will be closed for resurfacing from 16 August (no end date has yet been set). During this period, buses will be unable to serve Welburn or Wombleton and will run via A170.

A temporary bus stop will be added on the A170 near the junction with Back Lane (for Welburn). Buses will not stop at Nawton Road lane end as it would not be safe to do so.

For passengers making essential journeys who cannot make the 1¼ mile walk to the nearest bus stops in Nawton or Back Lane, NYCC are providing a free taxi connection. This service will take you to/from Kirkbymoorside or Helmsley to connect with onward bus journeys. To book, please ring JEB Taxis on 07971 777666, preferably 24 hours before wanting to make a journey. You will need to give your name and address to the taxi driver for audit purposes.
